Great news... Acura's Applications are coming!

Subject: Praxis Response - Cost, timing, & other

Hello,

Thank you very much for your interest in the PRAXIS system. We are targeting mid-year 2003 for the public release of the Subaru WRX system and expect to add 4-5 additional applications later in the year. Although we have not finalized the retail price, the completeness of the kit (air springs, adjustable struts, remote reservoirs, compressor, valve-block, cockpit module, ECU, height-sensors, and all associated hardware) will necessitate a cost higher than a premium coil-over conversion but less than
the most expensive coil-over products. In plain English, the kit should be affordable to the serious enthusiast.

In regards to your question:
- The acuras are vehicles that we are considering for the next round of applications. Thank you for your input.

I have added your name to our list and will forward information as it becomes available.

We will be updating the web-site (www.praxissystems.com) regularly to report on product status.

Sincerely,

William S. Niaura

Exactly...

Just bombard them with request info...

IMO, sales and marketing people will respond to "heavy" requests for a particular application.

yea i see them making it for the RSX, but i don't know about the MDX, the point of this suspension system was for people who have cars for the track and the road.

This is my view on a lot of things!!!

i've been wanting so many products from other companies that don't make things for our car's. But if i were to ask other people to start sending in request for these parts, and then they develop them, but then nobody buys them, then what?

so many times people say they want something but they back out when it comes out.

If the cost is reasonable and installation is straightforward ... I will do it, I may put down money on that too... I have concerns about add noises if any from the air valaves...

Bridgestone/Firestone can't make decent tires, would you really trust them with your suspension?

Ahem...they make the best tires in the world. That incident was as much fords fault as FIRESTONE's.....people still buy their cars, trucks, and everything else they make.

I obviously can't be certain whether my perspective is the same perspective from which they're making this statement, but the "most expensive coil-over products" off-the-shelf are around $4000 for Penske's, Quantums, Ohlins, or even Racing Konis. Obviously any amount of custom work can be performed to make this considerably more expensive, but I don't think that's what they meant.

What might be considered "premium coil-over conversions" are definitely not low-end Teins nor NEXs, and perhaps not even JICs. We're talking about over $2000 for the better Teins, HKSs, Erfolgkei's, GAB's, etc.

Consider that this is Bridgestone, and being a player in the JDM with both tires and wheels, they're probably quite cogniscent of the full extent of the suspension aftermarket, so might indeed be talking from this perspective.
