ppl with I/H/E - Add some Denso spark plugs!!

Thought I'd share,
one of the TL guys installed I/H/E and also some Denso sparks. But he never was able to smoke his tires until he let the ECU pick up the new spark plugs.. anyway.. read the post for yourselves..

It's like resetting or reformatting your computer and letting the computer find the hardware. Is that better?

ECU's are adaptive, but not in this way...there are certain "assumptions" of specification and sparkplugs are one of them. The improvement provided by plugs is through improved spark characteristics and detonation resistance via heat range optimization.

That post would be mine and yes the plugs have made noticeable improvement. Can't say exactly what the improvement is, hp/torque gain, but as I mentioned, smoking my tires is now quite easy to do.

Although my sig says I have the VTEC V-AFC, I have not installed it as of yet. Still playing around with a cool mounting location. So that does not play any role in my new found smokiness.

Does anyone know if you are supposed to disconnect the batter before the installation of the denso's or after? Also Does anyone know if disconnecting my batter will messup all the settings on my CLifford? Thanks.

Doesn't mess anything up with my Clifford, so I would guess no.

I don't know--I have the Denso plugs and I don't think I've noticed any real difference at all. I will take your word for it, but I can't in my wildest dreams imagin theat the addition of spark plugs can take a car from no wheelspin to full wheelspin.

Not a problem. Clifford alarms have a feature which will set them back to where they were right before the battery was disconnected. Keeps car theives from just pulling a fuse or the battery to shut off the alarm.
