Power/Weight Ratio!

CLS weigh some 3525 lbs, has 260 hp that 13.55:1 lb/HP.

This number is all what make us go faster, the lower the number the faster we can go.

Hopefully the next CL-S or whatever car I would be bying would have to be at 10:00:1 lb/HP

Heh u confused me there for a sec. Your topic said Power to Weight ratio, but your final number was weight to power ratio

Lets not forget we cant always go by that number. Gearing makes the biggest difference. With gearing like the 4th gear that we have, we are not going anywhere =)

Yeah on the Road you would not need more than 110 but then there are the cars meets I go to on mondays and weekends that you would need that kind of power. But having more speed on the road never hurt either

As mr. spiro said, the HP to weight ratio is not a very valid number. Who cares about hp? It is easy to shave 10% off of your horsepower figure, and at the same time improve your 1/4 mile time by a half second or more. It's all about the TORQUE and the GEARING. Low end torque is what I use every day, at 5mph. I RARELY hit anywhere near the redline, where that 260 hp is made.

Give me torque, or give me death. Or something like that.
