I was looking for 1sec. and 10mph on street tires.
My friend has an 01 CLS auto, all stock except for K&N drop-in filter. With that, he ran 15.0. He added a NOS 50 dry shot and ran a 14.2. 8 tenths difference... with mods I can definetly see that being over a second gained.

BTW, for those of you with auto's .. D5? D3? SS? Gate shift? what gets your best times? If SS or gate shift, what RPM do you shift at?

I was talking about a 6-speed. In any case I think you should dyno your car first because if you arn't making at least 275whp and about 230-240 ft-lbs of torque I can't believe a 103+ mph or 13.4s pass.

could probably do that if I wasnt running 19s, and if I lowered my 60' some more. This ws my frst time at the track with N20. I only ran 4 times, and still hadn't gotten my launch right.

I'm sure it will get lower.

This was with a 2.28 60' so I know it can be better. This was at Edgewater in Cincinnati, warm day, and track not in the best shape.

8.81 is definateley a 13.6 or 13.7 pass - no doubt about that. Wish us 6-speeders can get some damn traction!

It's just that I was running 81-82mph in the 1/8th and I could only get a 102.65... maybe 103. It's tough man - tenths count, but the effect is not that dramatic.

johntypes,

Unfortunately, I do not have any stock ET or MPH numbers for my car. I never took it to the track until I installed the nitrous. However, most people here are averaging 14.4 - 14.7 @ 94 - 97 MPH. So based on those times, my best guess would be about 1 second improvement in ET and 8-9 MPH.

BTW: You need to clean out your inbox.
John,

I was able to get at least 1 second off stock times based on a 14.5 ET. If you base it on a 14.7 ET it would be 1.2 seconds.

You will not get 10 MPH from a 75 shot. You need at least a 100 shot for that.

I got a 9.31 in the 1/8 in my CLS with Short Ram intake (Weapon-R) & OBX Headers as my only mods. I think it equates to about a 14.3-14.4 in the 1/4

I agree with allmotor...My car dynoed 282hp & 249 ft-lb of torque (w/65 shot) & my best 1/4 mile run to date is a 13.5 @ 103MPH and a 2.1 60-ft time (w/75 shot). My 1/8 mile on that same run was was 8.77 @ 81.55 MPH.

So even if you dyno 275 hp and 230-240 ft-lbs of torque, you would need a 2.0 or maybe even a 1.9 60-ft to pull off a 13.4

Nothing special but my PB is a 14.6 @ 96.25 mph. only had icebox and OBX headers running on stock tires (unfortunately at about 25 psi front and back).

This year when I go I will have new wheels and tires and will prep the car (removing spare and jack and checking the tire pressure).
