Possibly a new maker for a big brake kit for our cars $700-900! Need your help!
Okay guys, what if I said I have a connection that can possibly might make us a big brake kit for our cars? (I am waiting on a email from him, but he did it for the Maxima guys).
www.fastbrakes.com is willing to do this but we would need some stuff to make it happen.
1) He would need the spindle assembly where the caliper, rotor, etc all attach too so he can make the kit. If anyone has a spare that would be needed.
2) We possibly would need a guranteed order of 10 with payment put down I believe of the amount above for the kits.
The calipers are Wilwood. Very very good brand. 4 piston calipers, and very light wegiht brake rotors. These kits will perform just as good as brembos for half the cost.
We had these kits made for the Maxima group and many got into it. They had the GD for like $695 or something for the whole kit at the beginning I believe it was or around there.
He can make 2 kits.
1) A complete replacement kit that replaces everything calipers, rotors, brake lines, all mounting hardware
2) Or just larger rotors, lines, all monting hardware using stock calipers
I want to gauge everyones interest in this.
Moderators please STICKY this! This is gonna be a awesome deal. And the kits can be made to go behind the STOCK wheels.
You can go to his site to see the kits he has done. www.fastbrakes.com.
Reply if interested guys....!

I have 2 setup... winter 16" Fox Sport 2 and Summer 18" Konig... I am interested as long as :
1) the cost less is than $700 shipped for 4 corners, complete set.
2) it clears both 16" and 18".

My question is why the Willwood 4 piston calipers and not the 6 piston?
Also I would assume that the BIG brake kit should fit 18" and above while the smaller brake kit should fit 16"-17".
Also what would it be to do the backs as well? Or do u guys think that just ACP cross drilled and slotted rotors in the back with aftermarket performance brake pads would be the way to go?
Tnx

4 piston is more than enough for our cars. Also yes it should clear aftermarket 17+ wheels. The backs do hardly any braking. The front does most of the braking so its not worth wasteing the money on the back.

I'm very interested. That's an awesome price if it's really good quality. There was a recent article in Car And Driver i believe on Big Brake kits for the WRX, the lowest price was $1600, and the top of the line Brembos were $2600.

Guys there are a lot of issues with big brakes... Mostly fitment...
Say you want 4-piston 13" big rotors and some hot-street pads...
Clearance is big issue... I have 18" +45 and the stock calipers do not have enough clearance for bigger rotors... In addion I have a 16" winter setup if I will be doing the big brakes this winter setup has to go...
The Best I think I will do is get new blank rotors and some new Portfield RS4 pads and maybe better brake fluid (I think I will stick with Honda's Brake fluid)
