Possible new owner of 2003 cl 6speed
Hi guys, new to this forum. I might be buying a 03 6 speed with 108k miles in the next month or so depending on the current owner. Any things to look for in particular when I go look at it? Asking price was 6k which i think is reasonable, what do you think? Car looks well kept and service records (carfax) are all at acura dealership. There are a few minor things i can see from photos that come with age like rock chips and minor seat wear on drivers seat but nothing crazy.

Other than the obvious stuff, the timing belt and most likely brakes should of been done by now. There is a airbag recall that the dealer will take care of for you or the current owner. I bought mine with the same amount of miles as yours from a dealer and they had just done the airbag, a couple days later the SRS light stayed on so I had to do the reset. I found instruction on this site for the how to. Probably other more experienced owners here will have more ideas of things to check. They are super cool cars and rare too, only 3500 produced.

Make sure the 105k service has been done or else you're looking at about $600-800 to have it taken care of (I'd work that into the price if it needs it).
These cars eat brake rotors. Plan on replacing them more often than in many cars.
The airbag recall is more of a time commitment than anything. Should take them an hour or less to replace it if they haven't taken care of it by now. There are actually 2 airbag recalls (driver and passenger). The dealer can look and see if either or both have been taken care of (all 2003s were part of the driver side recall, only some were part of the passenger so they can check to see if yours would need it). There's also a seatbelt recall to have them check on. Generally you can give the dealer the VIN and they can see which recalls have been taken care of and which are needed.
