Porsche Cayenne is revealed (pics)

The first 4 door vehicle in Porsche's history ever is revealed folks.

So Cayenne S (340 HP) goes for a top speed of 150.4 mph and Cayenne Turbo (450 HP) goes for 165.3 mph.

The 0-60 mph are 7.2 secs and 5.6 secs accordingly.

The tranny is a 6 speed Tiptronic ZF (auto)

I like it. Reminds me of a Land Rover or something. They will sell VERY well here.

I still dont get it. WHY? I mean obviously there is a market there, but WHY.

It reminds me of the Hunday Tiburon.

Yea....I saw pics in last months Forbes!!! I like it, but it feels like the SUV market is getting saturated. I'm not a fan personally, so thta may be why I'm biased against....but if Porsche feels like they need to enter this market, then I think they've got a winner. (but....you have to admit it kinda looks 'Kia'-ish from the side and back)

i'd take one. at 450 HP it'd put alot of cars to shame. that's pretty damn cool. but the looks are kinda so-so. i'd have to see one in person. the back end is alright and the front is what brings it down. if they made it a 2 door sport SUV then we are talkin but the 4 look doesnt say Porsche to me. should have been introduced as a AUDI or VW (i think VW is Audi and Porsche's Parent; eventho VW has a SUV in the works also)

id drive it, plus itll dust just about every car on the road that doesnt run an under 5.5 0-60. Be nice to pull up next to a Camaro in an SUV and smoke it. Agree that the X5 is better looking, but look at the name---P O R S C H E-----'NOUGH SAID

VW will be making the same vehicle for about 1/3'd of the price, though I am sure the VW version will NOT be getting that 450HP monster in it....

In my opinion it is pretty damn ugly, but that engine may justify the cost....but I doubt it!!!

yes, and a 911 turbo with 450hp will put it to shame.

I think the car is cool, but why??? Was it worth it to totally tarnish their image? Their will be a Volkswagen out that is almost the same. As if that isn't bad enough, they made an SUV!!

i think that's butt ugly... looks like a Hyundai

Porsche is known to make sports cars... i think they should stick to what they're good at... not tryin to be all innovative and go head to head with BMW and MBZ...

Whats wrong with the boxster?

Have you ever driven one?

Sure it may not have the highest HP output, but Porsche already makes a high output Sports car, a couple of them!

i myself never drove it, though I sat in one that was being driven, it felt sluggish.

whats up with that, a 99'TL would take it in a race.

obviuosly were not talking about the S version.

It's a car for thw twisties! not the 1/4mile

But if your into acceleration I can see why it doesn't do much for you. heh, who said a TL could beat a Boxtser S? LOL, now thats funny.

Being a mid engine car it handles awesome!

might be good on turns, but whats the point paying all that money for twisties? get a type R, or S2000 and save some cash, and get speed too.

that would only make sense, but this car will appeal to people with money, and those people will be bitches. Porsche will become a bitch company soon.
