Poor Mileage?

Poor Mileage?
I have a 01 CLP with about 23-24k miles on it. I am getting about 240 to 14 gallons, which equals to about 17 mpg. I mainly do 75% city driving and 25% highway driving. Does this seems normal? Engine mods are CAI and Exhaust. I've checked the tires and have had oil changes frequently. Anyone know what might be the problem?
Thanks,
Brian

Doesn't sound like anything is wrong. Our cars (CL/TL) are dogs in the city when it comes to gas mileage. I drive about 85% highway mileage and I average 23-25 mpg depending how fast I go. If I'm doing any extra around town driving that mpg drops to 20-21 real quick. If I'm doing mainly town/city driving, it drops under 20mpg.

Gas Milage
Yeah I have an 01 CLp with 37.5k and the CAI helped for like 1-2miles per gallon but in town milage sucks. Even in Pheonix, AZ I am lucky to get 300 to a tank of gas.
Although I took a trip recently to hike the Grand Canyon and milage jumped to 30% more at 400miles to a tank... Yeah.. so it can be done just stay on the highway

Fullerton or Orange County's streets are so wide and "open" in general that i wouldnt even qualify it as "city" lol
god why do i work in downtown LA?
lol.
But it's mostly due to driving style as well, i.e. how often does your RPM stay above ~3.5k rpm and for how long. I do 35% city, 65% highway and consistently get 27-29mpg.
Also, you might want to check your tire pressure to make sure they're evenly balanced?
