I'd stay away frpm Korean cars. Hondas near legendary reliability is tough to beat. My vote would have to be for the Hond CRV. If you happen to win the lottery you can always upgrade to a twin turbo Porsche Cayenne.

If you want something in the small SUV class I'd recommend the Subaru Forester XT Premium Package. Check it out -- it's a bit of a mom-mobile, but fun to drive and practical.

If you don't want the extra HP/TQ from the turbo (and fuel costs), the XS is also very nice. We liked it more then the CR-V and RAV4 which were our second and (distant) third choices.

Here's my mini-review. In Canada, you can get the XT with Premium Package (leather + giant moonroof) in both the manual 5 speed and the automatic 4 speed transmissions.

Honda CRV. I sat in a new one during the San Jose Auto Show and although the car isn't a barn burner it has a really really nice interior. Great reliability too.

Or maybe you should just get a Solar Yellow Honda Element with 20's and Black Chrome Emblems....

According to my daily email:
Currency Unit USD per Unit Units per USD
================================
USD United States Dollars 1.00000 1.00000
EUR Euro 1.17233 0.852999
GBP United Kingdom Pounds 1.66929 0.599056
CAD Canada Dollars 0.743002 1.34589...
So CAD$25K canadian is equal to USD$18575.

2003 Hyundai Santa Fe = 0% APR for 72 months = 0 down = 60K/5 years bumper to bumper warranty = 5 years/unlimited miles roadside assistance = 100k/10 year powertrain warranty.

Is something wrong here?
