Polarg M6 Lifespan...

I've had my Polargs for about 9 months. They both pretty much gave out at the same time. Not only were they warped to where they needed to be broken to remove them, but they also burn the housing (which was barely noticeable). I don't drive much at night, except on weekends. And I have on my lights during the day less than 5% of the time.

I guess my question is this, is there any better solution without going back to the stockers? How do the PIAAs hold up ver time? I liked how CharlesNguyen had painted the black molding around the "fog lights" silver. I wonder what it would look like to fill in the "fog light" area and paint that silver also? Not necessarily the whole grill, the the fog light area. *cough*Photoshoppers*cough*

This has been another Deep Thoughts...

I've had mine around 9 months now. Both still work fine and don't look warped at all. As soon as one dies, I am going to just remove them both and not replace them. I don't really like those lights down there much. In fact I might remove the housings and replace with a mesh grille of some sort. Maybe even buy real foglights to stick behind them too.

Any reason why this plan won't work?

There's wiring down there, I have an Inspire foglight switch, and taking out the housings should be simple enough. Getting wire mesh to sit in there might be difficult though.

Hey, very nice! I don't intent to mesh the center though, just the two foglight areas. How are you keeping the mesh there? Like how is it attached?

Just to confirm, my experiance was exactly the same as yours. I now have the M5's in (about a month so far), to see how they work out. When they go, I'll either put real fogs in that space or just leave it open.

screws .. to the upper part of the openning from the front (cuz I keep taking them out and putting them in) .. however, if I was to do it again. I would remove the bumper and put them, screws, from the inside.

Same thing happen to me (TWICE)... And both times I never touched thebulb when installing...
I just installed PIAA W2's the other day and they look much better. I am starting to think that those no-name PolarG bulbs are really cheaply made...

I'm going to have the agree that the Polargs are cheaply made. I went ahead and ordered the PIAA W2s. Hopefully I'll have a better experience with these.

Just go with Piaa's. IMO they look the best, and I've had mine for 9 months with no problems.
