PLEASE HELP! Installing M6's now and going nowhere!
Hey all!
I was just outside with a flashlight and a phillips head screwdrive trying to take out the 'fog' lights to replace them with the M6's that just arrived in the mail.
However, when following the instructions from the guys site that has the step-by-step instructions, I cannot get the unit to come out!
I have the phillips head screwdriver in that hole and can see the screw in there but no matter how much I turn, the unit is not loosening.
I'd like to get this done tonight...can you please help?
Its 5:22 EST.
Thanks!!!!

You don't need to remove the housing.. just stick your arm under the plastic cover underneath and you can reach the bulb. Twist the unit, and it will come out.. Pull the old bulb out, put new M6 in (without touching it) and pop it back in and twist.

Thanks and yes, it does work!
I was upstairs actually reading the car manual and it shows how to take the clips out, reach up there, twist, and replace.
Once I actually got the centers of those clips to come down so I could remove them, I had the bulbs done in seconds....and of course the other side went faster.
Immediate reaction....much better! It nice to have road lights the same color as the headlights.
PS: this was my first mod.

So when I do this I should wear Latex gloves?
Seriously, I don't want to screw it up!

stick the bulb into the socket, then you can hold the socket base and screw it in.

I am 'the guy'.
Out of curiosity, do you have a 2002?
Someone else had a 2002 CL and had problems getting the
Fog light housing out too. I wonder if they have changed
slightly?

Sorry, I've been busy with work and school and didn't have time to get in here until now.
The bulbs are bright white, but you can see the blue circle of the bulb inside the unit.
I was behind a car with a chrome bumper this morning on my way to work and I could see the headlights, the road lights and the two blue circles.
Regardless, the change in light has made a big improvement, I think, filling in some of the area on the road between the car and where the headlights normally project.
I found that following the instructions in the Acura manual was super easy--to get the covers pulled down to gain access to the back of the road light units. Granted, I changed my bulbs after dark so that didn't help. Once I pulled down the plastic cover, all I had to do was reach up inside, feel for the back of the back of the bulb unit, twist, and remove.
I used the cardboard (from the package the bulds came in) to hold the bulb while I replaced it so I didn't touch any part of it. ...and the thing went back inside just as easily as it had come out.
The M6 buld is slightly bigger than the stock light but I had no trouble getting the buld through the hole (as some had said).

At first I tried unscrewing the screw from the side, but for like 2 mins, it wouldnt come off, so I decided to follow the manual and got under the car, after like 2 mins, found that I didnt liek the position i was at. haha having ur legs spread apart for everyone driving pass to see. well so i decided to try unscrewing from the side again and realized i just needed a few more turns to get the housing off, after that the other one were easy. 1 of my hole were kinda tight but it still went in fine. Then for my sis's one hole was wayy too tight, couldnt even fit the tip of the bulb in, so she decided to get the smaller size, M4 but the guy said the PIAA were brighter so we got that for her car at the end.
