plastic clip might destroy your power steering... pictures!

very abruptly i developed a major power steering leak over night. to the point of driving my car a few miles, the canister would be below the safe line. i found the problem. there is a clip on the passenger side frame that holds the hardline wasn't properly closed. this allowed the hardline to move up and hit my pulley/belts. creating a crack in the hardline toward the front, it now pours out fluid when the car is running.

hardline replacement is fairly straight forward, shouldn't be too difficult. but go outside and check this clip. you can see it without having to do anything. just look behind your passenger wheel. it sits slightly to the left and below of the oil filter.

i guess your tranny was replaced and the tech didn't clip that back properly

the clip is on the other side of the engine bay... im not sure why anyone would need to touch that hardline.

Mines fine. Doesn't look like it moves at all. Might have came loose from your engine swap somehow.

i thought about that, the line was never removed though. anything could have happened really, but i figured i would warn some people.
