The CL-S will be around for a few more years as a secondary car and winter beater.
Something a bit more sporty and RWD will be entering the stable next year.

After the CL goes, my next baby will be the 2006 Audi RS4 (it's finally coming to the U.S.!).
That's always been my dream car... 414hp, all-wheel drive.... what more can I ask for?

Cruising in ATL!!
I have to agree with F900... without acura in my family... Only planning on enjoying my ride till 80,000 ~90,000 miles. (currently have about 20,000) so that's what..good 3 to 4 years of driving??? sounds good to be me. Next ride would have to be something real sporty.. possible two seaters only... wouldn't go for convertible tho... 350Z seems like a good choice for me for now..

I'm probably going to opt for the new BMW 330ci they increased the hp..or an 04 M3, the new audi Rs4 doen't sound bad either considering i live in NJ not CA.

I'm not sure, but since my 6spd is paid off, I plan on keeping it for awhile...
I'm probably good till 2007 (or so). If acura comes out with a RWD/AWD Coupe built in Japan, I might be tempted to trade in the CLS for that. The new Mustang, redesigned G35c (Skyline??), BMW M2 (or 330), or the new Toyota Supra are other vehicles I'll be interested to see in the next few years.
I'm thinking like some others who have posted here. The CLS will be a nice luxury winter beater to compliment a RWD summer only car like a S2000, old Porsche 911, C5 vette, etc...

My last car (94 Tbird V8) was bought in 95 w/ 15K miles on it... Carried a 5 year note on it, but drove it for 4 more years while it was paid off. While the tbird was paid off, I put the monthly payment in savings so that I had the downpayment for the CLS. Doing the same thing now for the next car (that will be several years away).
Heck, the way I'm thinking now (which changes day to day ) I might have to keep the CL till 2009 and buy a used 2007 model (of one of the cars I mentioned above)

It’s a shame we’ll all be moving on to other brands and have nothing left to look forward to from Acura.
Even if they DO come out with a 2-Door CL successor, it will probably be a US built Accord based vehicle.
Then they’ll complain when no one buys it.
Shawn S…. Acura driver since 1991

Well my plans are as follows:
It should be paid towards the middle of next year. It would have been 3 1/2 years for me. I'm sooo excited. I then will do as a member aforementioned about taking my monthly payment and just banking that in order to save money. I plan on doing that for a half a year to a year and then hopefully get the Acura RL!!! Originally i was thinking about the TL but it's a lil too small as far as int. space in the back seat. Then again by that time my son should be able to sit in the front seat possibly w/ a seat belt so if that's the case, i would stick with the TL. So i guess i'll make up my mind when it comes to that time.
I definitely plan on keeping my CL Type S. It's a 2001 w/ only 54k miles on it. I actually think it's time for my tranny to be replaced b/c i can hear it alil going from 2nd to 3rd gear like it's idling high before it changes. So i guess depending on how it's acting when it's close to that time or when i get up to about 80k miles will determine whether or not i keep it as well. TOO MANY DECISIONS!!!!!!!!

After reading about the new Audi RS4, I might have to scrap the BMW M3 and wait for the RS4. 4 doors is more practical than 2 in Real Estate. Oh yeah, more HP and AWD helps also hehehe

The RS4 is going to be around 70k. That's a hellacious amount of cash for an A4.

Not going with 4 wheels next. Going with a Yamaha R6 2001 for 3K! It'll happen within the next year (I hope). That's my next toy considering the TL has all the bolt ons that I want to put on. No SC for me on my 85K miles.

I love to have an 72 or 73 T, but I think I've waited too long. Prices are thru the roof now on the early 911s... Looks like I'll have to buy a 911 with a galvanized body (SC or G-50 Carrera), but pricing on the 993's (especially the 1995's) are looking really attractive...
