I just bought my 2001-CLS and I'm knee deep in mods already.
Well I have purchased a Touchscreen dvd monitor w/ a rearview camera. It comes ready to mount into the trunk's keyhole. Imagine my suprise when I realized my CLS came without a keyhole. . So now i need a place to put it. Any ideas?



P.S. I'm not interesed in drilling a hole in the trunk.

 

How about drilling a hole right above the rear license plate. Or even the top of the license plate itself. Ive seen a couple cars use this application.

 

my friend has his mounted inside the 3rd brake light (on rear deck). works perfect and you cant even tell it's there.

take out one of the holes for the license plate...and bore the hole bigger and put it there...it will hold the license plate up still and you wont be able to tell its there...thats about the closest to the bumper you can get without making other holes

 

Sounds like a plan... waiting to see if any one else has any ideas
