As of 8/4/2003.. this is where we stand.... do the math, 2 more days past and 2 more people added to the list...So I count a definate 8 people that are in.. but like stated below, he did not check his mail over the weekend...so lets keep our fingers crossed that he got 12 checks in the mail over this past weekend..

I've been unavailable for nearly a week. I'll try to get some time and follow up in the next few days.

I sent an email but that might not have been answered since I noticed their site has been redone so who knows what else is not working. So I faxed my email I sent requesting a status update.

But in the interim I did finally hook up both gauges in a more respectable but temporary fashion. I used a black bracket I had laying around and fastened it to the side defrost vent with two gauge pods holding the gauges attached to the bracket. It actually looks pretty decent IMO:

I got 75% of the plumbing done... Just need a T for the sender on the fuel pressure and I need to mount the Boost map sensor.. I found a really good spot for it.. Right above the FPR..!!!, fits nice.

But before I mount it I wanted to see if the I/C has any fitment issues... U don't think you will need to relocate the FPR.. right?

P.S. guages look real good... did you opt to put the green or red condom on the bulb?

No problem with the FPR, it is well out of the way for the IC.

No condom on the bulb thus far. I did think about the red but will probably leave it alone.

Hey, I got to bring some kind of humor to this dead thread... I am growing so old waiting for this A-Pillar pod to happen.... I am about to buy some brackets and do the same thing.

Nope, completely different. The TL is the only Acura vehicle which the CL shares significant components.

That's me at the bottom of the list.

Even if each person bought 2 we still wouldn't make the 20. Where's everyone else at that said they would buy this?

I might change my order to three or four; but that still won't cut it. I'm not sure what to do here as we are still short and there seems to be no further interest except for those who have already sent in money.

What does everyone want to do??

Also, where is Eric on this?? He has everything else for his car; why not gauges??

For his gaygiz.... he got black pods that screw right into the factory A-pillar.....

I don't care what we do anymore... I wish we did not need 20 people... I am sure once people see the product they are all going to want it...

I would not even bother changing your order, because once they produce the Pillar for the first 20, they will then carry it in STOCK for the rest of eternity..... trust me I already thought this through and spoke with Dennis.

Let's try this,....One more push to make sure we have everyone that wants one now. Let's use 13 as a goal. That means we only need four more. Take the full $900 to make the 20, and divide it by 13, gets us to $69.25 ea. plus shipping. Sell the other 7 to a wholesaler such as Velocity Resources, at $20 ea, and recoup another $10.75 ea, bringing the price down to $58.50 plus shipping.

Tweek the numbers anyway you want, but let's get this thing done.

Eric you need this. You have to get that fuel pressure gauge out of the engine bay, and into the cockpit where you can see it!
