From: The grande.. Riverdale NJ.. Hopefully moving to skyline village in Lincoln park NJ..yes dirty jersey
My boys 330 ci got stolen last week and they found it in perfect condition still with his 19's on it. They cought the guy that stole it , he decided he liked the car soo much he decided to register it and get new plates, he even hooked the car up with looney toon mats..LOL
Sorry to hear that – your story makes me want to "tattoo" and brand my wheels, headers, windows, and any and all parts…
Funny story to help you laugh (at a miserable find)...
I fixed a car stereo unit years ago (older car). I had one of these "why not" moments... I wrote, "If you find this radio in any car other than "Eric XXXX's" car IT MUST BE STOLEN. I scratched this inside the cover and on every place (except the front cover). I put my DL # on the back!
Four cars were smashed (on my street one night) for 1) change (as in pennies, nickels, and dimes) from the glove box 2) for all cool radios 3) speakers.
(A few days go by – I’m pissed – they ripped the console apart – GRRRRRR)

The guys couldn't unload my stereo next to this junky infested park near downtown. A cop calls and says, "I have something of yours". It turns out the guy had the unit sitting right on the top of his back seat. (All the other units were presumably "sold" in the park [according to the metro officer].) The guy next door had a friend at SWAT and they arranged for the guys to spend some time over the weekend at Terminal Island (a real pleasant lock-up -- NOT)
OTOH -- to look at the bright side, you will be getting an S4 (yes/no)?
And since you like mods -- there is nothing like a turbo for some low cost mods for major power increase...
Good luck, I wonder if it would help to "mark" the windows and parts of your new wheels...

Damn, why the freak would they take one of only a handful of 3.5L CL's and ditch it a damn lake?!?!
Did you piss somebody off or something?
Sounds to me more like someone out for revenge then someone out to make a buck.

nerve of that asshole
I argee, i mean a car like ours mostly has to be stolen by a crook that knows more then the usally silm jim.....and you would think they would see a 3.5 Cl and think, hmmmm this is some bad ass s***, but then just dump it in the lake?????:confusded: that is just weird right there
I have the cops done any investigation on the interior of the car such as fibers, fingerprints, how they stole it, what equipment they used, any damage to locks, door handles, or steering columes???
btw, the people that often steal your stuff the mojority of the time they are your best friends

Later,
dantes
At least it will be totaled and you can move on. Good luck with the insurance company. Claim adjusters can suck.
How has the rental car been? Must be harsh shopping for an S4 in a rental POS.

Flatbeded it...He should have had an aftermarket alarm on there since it was so nice. Hey MchTypeS let's see some pics and details.
Also didn't your friend get caught with insurace fraud when he tried to dump his TEG?

I know that's what I said they could have flatbeded it. But I think the alarm should have gone off and I would take every extra step to protect a car as pretty as that.

Or
How about a hidden camera (On-star) system that sends pics via link to center if car is jacked...
Finally -- Punishment for vehicle theft:
Miscreants are chained to front bumper of vehicle they stole. Attach electrodes to them and make them "tow" the vehicle around with the victim at the helm. Sentencing length depends on various factors...

If everyone drove a Century all would be well with the world. I still say Gone in 60 was the best movie ever!!! What right do people have to spend their hard earned money on cars? Car thieves are heroes! Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Look on the bright side mch... you almost allowed some poor soul to have a nice car. You should be proud!

I don't know how it is in Port Washington, PA, Scorp but the car thieves I know in nyc drive Escalades with 22inch rims and Sony Wega TV's in their living room. Granted they'd never be able to raise a family or anything like that, but they usually steal from the middle class because the rich live in neighborhoods where their cars are in garages or they leave their cars unlocked at night knowing the cars won't be stolen. So actually its the "well-off car thieves" stealing from normal people driving hard earned cars.

I was trying to make that movie out to be a pointless peice of crap that it was... Yet half of the people on here think that movie was better than anything... Which I don't understand.
