Picture request of tint...
pics are in my Car Domain of 35% all the way around on my SSM.
Jim - I take it you are happy with the 35% on yours - seems to look just right. I'm like one of the other posters. Have the silver and want the tint (Texas and Louisiana summers!), but don't want to disturb the sporty look of the car. Seems like the 35% would look good and still looks sporty (plus I have the spolier on mine).
Has anyone tinted a silver CL with more than 35% tranmission (I don't even know if you can get more transmission that 35% - i.e. 50%)?

Yeah.. Andyjl just got it done by one of those tint guys that come to your place after you make appointments with 'em. He didn't touch the dot matrix, and now light shines through in just that spot.
I got a good place lined up though.
I'll just ask 'me to tint right on over.

I had 5% all around on my last car and now I have 15% all the way around on my 02 TLS, it's about perfect. You really don't have any issues driving at night the only hard part is backing up in very dark areas so I occasionaly have to open my door. As far as cops go in my part of the country (missouri) they really don't care.

I took the tint on the lower part of the front windshield off.. felt like I was watching a movie while driving...

Sucks.. just when I think I'm set on something, a new suggestion comes up.

I use my sideview mirror... but I have no issues seeing out of the rear window...
I have black vinyl across the top of the dot matrix..

MANNNN 5% all around. Truly insane man. I love that profile shot of your car w/ the servos though. That shit looks soooo clean.
Hey Morgan, do you have any problems lookin' out the windows and such w/ 15% all around?

man I live in L.A. and I've had my limo tint for the entire time, and I never get hassled. Not like it's a big deal anyway if you get pulled over. It's like a $10 fix it ticket. Just go with whatever you like.
like what?? Ok, I've gotten 1 fix-it-ticket in the past 4 years of driving. Both of my cars had 5% limo all around. When I got the ticket, I had to go to get my tint removed, go to my local CHP which is close-by and have them approve that the tint was replaced, and go get the tint put back on. About 2 hours of my day, no biggie.

And I heard from someone that cops will cut your window tint w/ a knife to make sure you fix it?
I called
on that though.

I have ebony interior... im thinking of doing 35% sides, 20% rear. should that be dark enough?? would it be too dark if I went with 20% sides and rear??
the car is anthracite, so I dont want it really dark, but good enough so you cant really see in.

as for telling the different levels of tint on rear and sides. well i don't know how the jersey laws are there, but i'm assuming you can go pretty dark, 35% on sides looks pretty sweet, i think its dark enough, but if you want it to look better, go with 20% on the sides

Hey Andy, how's your vision @ night w/ 15% back window when you're parallel parking?
I know 5%, you can't see anything out besides headlights. 15% you can still see cars behind you?
