Here is mine. It's hollow inside, but it's still heavy, and makes it easier to shift.

Sorry, am I missing something??? I think the stock one looks the best...

I was thinking to get an after market knob, but could not find one that is better looking than the stock..

runnerX,

Well, with a heavier knob, speed shifting is a little easier since the weight helps in shifting (mine is 340G verses the approx 100G of the stock shifter)

Otherwise, it is just a preference of what you like....Some people like the feel of the round ball, others like me like something with a bit more of a flat top and finger grips.

If you are happy with yours, then stay with it.

Lou,

Looks hot... How much did you cut???

RunnerX,

I agree that the stock knob is nice, but there are two problems with it (IMO):

1) It is WAY too tall/high (like driving an 18 wheeler).

2) It don't weigh sh!t, so the shift feel is less 'solid' than with a weighted shifter (again, IMO)...

Lou....

Is that the Titanium knob? Nice....I was considering that one as well as the Momo Carbon Fiber Sphere, but decided on mine because of the feel, and also the very cold weather we get (don't want my hand ending up like the tongue of the kid in Chrismas Story )

Also, I like the stereo....Alpine? Great custom insert.

yep the knob is titanium and also countersunk meaning I didn't have to cut the shifter at all. If I took the knob off it would be almost exactly the height of it with the knob on there is also the Aluminum knob which only cost $30 compared to $129 the Titanium cost but to me it is definetly worth it....by the way for the extremely HOT or Cold days I aready have a custom made sock so it wont burn your hand
