Wow Dean the car looks great! The comptech drop just transforms the look of the car. I think the stock rims look great with the car dropped too. Those tail lights are awesome! Like the grill too. It's amazing what a few simple tweaks can do for you. I think I'm going to end up removing the"A C U R A" letters from my rear deck as well after looking at yours.

blackmagiCL-S,

Thank You! There is a new Tinted Vinyl that the sign shop we use found out about and brought in for me.

ChadT,

Thanks! The car really looks mean at night too.

Dean,
What kind of paint did you use to paint your grill? Did you have to take it off to paint it? Looks awesome.

schoeny14,

We used a flat black paint. Yes, you do have to remove the grill to paint it--unless you want to tape off the whole front of your car. It is held in place by 6 10mm bolts--very easy. Thanks!

CL P Diddy,

Thanks! Just waxed it up yesterday.

ModAddict,

I definately have been trying. You, of all people, know what I am doing VERY soon---BOOST!!! BTW: We are working on an aftercooler system for the Auto's as well :P

Smitty,

Thank you! Its all good--I know I have been busy this week too.

ATLcl98,

Thanks! I think it definately makes the car stand out.

CLASSYCLS,

THank you. I feel a little bit--I think it is definately a nice addition to the springs and sways....kind of brings everything together.

sly1types,

Thanks....I did it with Meguires.

ModAddict,

"We" being all of us at the shop. My tech, Briant, along with Jason and myself have come up with a configuration that will fit everthing nicely. Looks like we are doing an aftercooler set up much like the ones on the Vortech kits with a resevoir, pump, aftercooler etc. We are waiting on pipes and the aftercooler to show up now and will begin mocking up shortly on a TL-S that we did a couple of weeks ago.

We finally got the pistons and the completed bottom end together for the 3.5 we have been working on since April--10 weeks for pistons! So, as soon as this thing is done and gone, we will begin on the Aftercooler set up.

J.T.,

I will have one---hopefully sooner than later. I have only had the car a month--gimme some time. :P

I was just talking about smoking the rear lights the other day. I saw some GTIs like that and that gave me the idea. That looks soooooo sweet on a black car. How did you do it?

danny25,

It is a new tinted vinyl that has just come out.

darrinb,

YES!!!! The 3.5 is FINALLY coming out---this has been a pita because it is our first one and the customer wanted to do a lot of things that were not originally available, like pistons to lower the compression ratio from 10.8:1 down to 10.2:1 (boost friendly)....so we had to have them made from scratch.

TranceFusion,

Thanks!

Dean

civic4982,

I can definately get the tinted vinyl for you....it would be about $12-15 shipped to you. I will see if he will get me the manufacturer of it if you would like to get it locally, though.

Yes, the 3.5 is Austin's.

Red Rider,

Yes, the aftercooler will be for the 5AT first and then make adjustments for the 6Speeder after that. How's that for being selfish since I have the auto too?

Thank you!

I want some of that tint too. Please post details when possible!!

Now, just get the wheels gunmetalled and the transformation will be complete.

That is exactly what I want to do to my car, only I am also blacking out the chrome around the windows.

Nice.

That's it. Next time I wash the car I'm peeling those "A C U R A" letters off the deck. Looks soooo much better. I took the 3.2 CL part off already but was undecided on the rest. I think I'll keep the "S" though. At least until some joker steals it to put on his Cavilier. Then I'll be totally de-badged. Car looks tits!

JZ,

Will do....I will talk with him in the morning on the tinted vinyl. Actually, I am torn between 3 different wheels right now, but they will be 18" or 19" black center with a polished lip to show off the Rotora brakes that will be here soon.

ChadT,

I really like the look of the trunk with nothing on it because it messes with everyone--I have had about a dozen people come up to me and ask "what kind of car is that?" The dealer took everything off the trunk when I picked it up. That was part of the deal--I buy the car, you debadge the trunk lid.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone!

Dean
