Pics of my red AEM CAI

These aren't the greatest photos--I used an older digital camera from my work to take them. It looks more metallic red rather than paitned red in real life.

It looks to me like the hoses are a little wrong. I'll go take some pics of mine and post them for you.

I think it just looks like that b/c the way they are sitting. You really can't put the hoses on incorrectly--one AEM hose fits onto one stock hose and the other AEM hose fits onto the other stock hose.

See photos below....your hoses don't match up.

Looks like he got it right, just that he didn't take out the hard hose for the breather valve. Instead, he took the AEM hoses and attached tot the end, hence the longer length. Interesting. Probably saved him some time from having to take the old coolant hose out of the tight space it was in.

Really? What's connected to the connector on the back part of the CAI? Does all this extra hose hurt anything?

I love it! I can't hear any difference during normal driving...except for the first 3-4 minutes when it's warming up. After that, it sounds totally stock....that is, until you hit it and it opens up and sounds awesome. Definitely worth the $213.

I like the looks of the cold air intake. It looks sweet. Can you tell me how different the performance is? I would like to know before i purchase one. Also, where did u purchase it, because i think my guy is ripping me off for 230 to 240.

Thanks let me know

You're right--I didn't remove all of the stock pieces b/c it would have been a big PITA. I left the hoses long so that they wouldn't have any tension on them to possibly introduce a kink into them.

As for the performance--you really feel it throughout the entire RPM range. The car is a lot more responsive than with the stock setup.
