Pics of How to change spark plugs?

Hi,
I'm at 60k on my Cl now and I think i might try and change my spark plugs.
I've done it on my other car, 1.8t audi but I don't know where to start on the CL.

Anyone have pics that can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Check your glovebox manual- good instructions there. Only problem is the passenger side rear plug, but it can be done with standard socket tools.

regarding that one troublesome rear plug: move the bracket that's blocking it out of the way.

does anyone know what the OEM plugs are. Can they be bought at any local auto store that isn't the dealer?

The plugs are a piece of cake. Shouldn't take more than 30 min. I don't see why you need pics. Open the hood and there they are. Just remove the coil packs, then plugs. Very straight foward.

go with the ngk iridiums. go to ngk.com or sparkplug.com to find out the part number. replace the 5 in the part number with 6 if u hv a type-s. altleast thats what i have been told.

They do not recommend regapping Iridiums as the tips are very delicate.

The rears aren't that difficult. You just need a swivel socket and a couple extensions.

According to the manual, you should change the spark plugs @ 105K miles but it seems a lot of y'all change @ 60K? Any reason why? Are there significant performance gains to be had by replacing the stock plugs with ngk or some other aftermarket ones?

I think you can also wait a shit load of miles (like 100000) to change the oil technically but, I wouldn't. I just hit 70k and changed my pluggs. Glad as hell I did because the old ones looked like horse crap. I didn't feel any performance gain though.

Oh, and it was pretty easy. the back passanger side one was the only bitch to take out. Front's are a piece of cake. Make sure you have the right tools and are able to lean over the back of your engine for a good 20 minutes.

I'm getting my fake-60K mile service in a few weeks so I figured now would be a good time to do it. I'm going to give them to my mechanic to replace the OEM ones with.

That's the easiest step. Uninstall the non-existing wires and replace with the new high performance imaginary wires.

i wasn't putting the link for his sparks plugs, i quoted him saying that he lost his owner's manual and i gave the link so he can consult the owner's manual anytime he wants even if you guys lost yours.

i'm a mechanic at acura and there's absolutely nothing special about replacing spark plugs on a J32.

2nd Gen CL does not have spark plug wires. There's a coil pack above each cylinder/plug.

Just make sure your engine is COLD when you do this or you will run into a bad surprise later.

With the money I saved, I bought a spare muffler bearing. I hate getting stranded when those go out.

funny funny...

"anyone got a bucket of dial tone??? how about a 2x4 spacer, got one of those?"

anyway, is there any need or beniefit of changing out the coil packs?

oh, and btw, whoever was asking about the spark plugs; they are a breeze to r/i.

it took me 20 mins. its is easier if you have one of those universal socket wrench joints though.
