I love the front and rear of the car, but from the side, it reminds me of Ace and Gary Mobile...

I'ts all about the rotary... I had an rx-7 years ago and loved it.. 5 spd, rwd, posi.. it was pretty dominant.
fun car..
i'm not feeling the redesign though. looks like it's been pieced together from diff cars. kinda frankenstein like. but i don't like the new designs now anyhow.. for what it's worth.
Glad ur friend likes it. THat's what matters.

Don't forget that Mazda states in the owners manual that you are to check the oil at EVERY gas fill-up because they have been experiencing a bit more oil burn than they had expected out of the engine. If not, car enter limp mode and you may be responsible for any damage due to YOUR neglect!

Puh-leeeease. Wankel this.

It is all lobes. But you can't equate it to a 4-stroke piston engine. It acts more like a 2stroke engine in that for every revolution it has a power stroke. I beleive a common correction factor to apply to equate it similar to a 4-stroke piston engine is multiply the 1.3L * 1.65 = 2.145L

Still small but I beleive it also has to do with the low speed operation not being very efficient.

I hate the RX-8
reason#1. Mazda is owned by Ford and Ford =Shit
reason #2. Okay lets say you keep this car longer than a warrenty last(which i always do) lets say your driving across america and your in for example rural nebraska(there's not to many dealers Mazda dealers around just tons of wheat )but if you break down in the middle of no where with this Rotor motor your fawked. because your average garage car repairman can't fix em.
reason#3.They(Mazda) lied 1 time on the Miata Hp now they lied on thee RX-8 HP wouldn't you think they would have learned:angry:
reason #4. the RX-7's ate gaskets and oil like crazy so if your running behind a RX-7 your likely to get a "smokescreen."
reason #5. i think they are fricken ugly.

ahhhhh...wasn't thinking that way...forgot about that engine making power every revolution and not every other. That makes sense. I wonder why it's that inneficient down low? I mean look at what kinda mileage you get out of a 2.0 liter these days. Hell my 1.8T gets way more mileage even when I'm into 20 psi boost a lot.

They may be :ghey: but they go a long way towards keeping the insurance costs down (relatively speaking). I believe its classified as a 4dr sedan (a la Maxima or TL).

I was disappointed by the torque on that car.
After having tried the car out, the torque number is kind of deceiving as it has a quick, very linear power delivery versus an S2K which has a "two stage" power deliver (i.e.: SLOW==>VTEC==> FAST)
