PIAA lights...Can you say garbage?!!!!

I just purchased a set of Piaa fog lights from a local store like 1.5 months ago. I noticed that one of the plastic lenses is broken. I went back to the store and they said they could only order me a new complete single light assembly (instead of just a lense) for $105 Canadian. I thought this was crazy, but I guess its normal. I'm trying to contact PIAA for a replacement as I type.

Does anyone know if it possible to buy replacement lamps at a cheap price?

P.S. I have the 001 Silitare lamps

I hear you. I went thru 2 sets of PIAA 1700X fogs before cause they burned out on me in a few months for both. Then I figured let me get something else. So I bought the 001 Solitaire series like you and it went out on me too. Fuck that, I am just going to save some $$$ now to get some HID fogs later.

We do not make product opinions/experiences a sticky topic.... sorry. If it was a major problem or defect with a product then maybe.....

As for the PIAA lights, the reason you can't buy a replacement lens is b/c it's a sealed beam, so you need to replace the whole fog light. I had the PIAA 1700x on my CL and I loved them. One of the bulbs blew out and I contacted their support. They had a new one to me within a week, no charge. Of course I was still under their warranty. I had them for three years and that was the only problem I had. I still see my car from time to time since the guy I sold it to lives locally and they're still on the car and working. If you just bought them you can contact PIAA support and they should be able to assist you.....

I had the 1000 I bought used from a friend. After I used them for a while, a lense fogged up. I called PIAA, they sent me a new one. No questions asked, no charge. Gave the car to my brother, the other one fogged. PIAA sent him a lense. They worked great for three years until my brother hit a guard rail.

I have a pair of 1100s I need to put on my CL. He has had the 1100s (to replace the 1000) for over a year with no problems.

I'm with moo here guys... too often one bad experience translates into "this product sucks" kinda crap. I have PIAA 1700X's.. they are used and I bought them from someone else. The only pronlem I've had is either a rock went through the lense or someone backed into the light. regardless, PIAA lights are FINE.
