Hi - I am about to buy the 2001 CL S-Type Aegean Blue (what a beauty)!! But at the dealers I spotted a 2002 TL S-Type and noticed the seats had only a small panel insert of perforated leather (while the CL-S has perforated leather to the end of the seat). Does anyone know whether the 2002 CL-S will have the exact seat as the 2001??? I realize this sounds totally minor but I was never crazy about the perforated seats and now if there is a chance the 2002 CL-S might have less perforated parts I might consider waiting a month or 2 and getting a 2002 CL-S Aegean blue.

Please give me your thoughts....am I just having buyers worry of some kind and am I obsessing on something minor anyways???

Any thoughts would sure help since I need to decide NOW!!

Dude, tell you the truth, decide whether you want a 4 door or 2 door. Knowing acura, the 2002 CL will be like the 2002 TL, seats and ALL. If you like the CL, don't care for a manual, can live with the small roof, the SportShift and can put up with the lack of aftermarket parts, get the 2001 CLS and it will save you LOTS of money.

I don't think the 02 cl will have the 02 tl seats. The tl is more of a luxury ride vs. ours is sportier. and plus our seats are wayy more comfortable and hold you better in cornering.

 

this is true.. i even like the CLS seats better than my TLS seats.. the CLS seat wrap around your back more.

 

i'm pretty sure the 2002 CL-S with have the same seats as the 2001. The TL-S is more of a family car in a way, so i think that minor difference will serve to distinguish between a TL-S and a CL-S for a while.

 

Somehow I know Acura will fuck up the seats by only preforating the leather like in the 02 TLS seats
