Paying invoice price for the CLS...what are my chances?

I am hoping to join the CLS family this month. What are the chances of me getting the '01 CLS at invoice in the greater Detroit area? Detroit isn't the hottest market for this vehicle being that everyone buys on the "A-Plan". Also, the '02's should be coming in soon so I figure I should be able to negotiate on the '01 model.

wait for 2002 to come out, then buy a 2001...ur chances will be better since they have to move the 2001's off the lot for 2002...

I think you should be able to get it for invoice easily right now. I got mine for about $400 over invoice in December, without paying any dealer fees or other BS that they come up with, so you should be able to get a better deal now, but I'm not in Detroit.

I truly believe you should not have any problems getting the car at invoice. I got mine at about 100 below invoice without much trouble. I just called around from dealer to dealer and named my price. I basically called around the morning I wanted to buy and said that I was willing to pay 28K (invoice 28133) and that I will be over in an hour. Very simple, there are however 5 dealers in the area of about an hours drive. I would suggest negotiating accessories prices like a spoiler at this time as well because I think i got somewhat chewed on that. I paid another 700 for spoiler installed, mudguards and sunroof visor.

I agree with these guys.... getting these things at invoice shouldn't be too tough. What if you have to pay $100 or $200 over? Go for it... there's good deals to be had on these cars now. Especially since they've been out for over a year now....

If your on Long Island, get a few prices....then call Smithtown, they will definitely sell the car to you at an aggressive price- they have like 30 in stock, they are easy to negotiate with.....they work off volume, only try to hold gross if your a doofus or wealthy and don't care.

Chances of you getting a CLS for invoice? About the same as you starring in a porno with Jenteal.
