Has anyone had this problem before? The Side air bag light comes on intermittently.

WTF?

 

If there is someone sitting in the seat the computer determined that they are not seated properly for safe deployment of the side air bags. It then disables the side bag and lets you know by showing that light on the dash. If there is no-one in the seat then u have a problem.

 

if someone is leaning towards the windshield or has thier back off the seatback it disables the passenger side airbag or passenger front airbag either one or both. i thought it was broke too

 

Please also make sure you have no metal objects on the seat such as Laptop PC's or big bags of stuff .I have seen a medium sized purse turn the light on .
