Has anyone had this happen? It's hard to explain but, the panel with the pocket on the back of the passenger seat is coming detached from the seat, at the bottom. I am taking my CLS in for 45K service this week, so I will get it repaired at that time.

It seems like an easy fix, anyone know for sure?

it has happened to me but on the driver seat. What happened was that my friend was drunk and ripped it off. but I took the car in and they gave me a new one because one of the bolt or whatever on the bottom was broken so i got it replaced...But the thing is that they didnt have it in stock so I had to wait a week to come back and have it replaced.

I don't know!!! Just noticed it a few weeks ago. I don't anyone did it (like the drunk guy), I rarely have anyone riding in the back seat.

Happened to me, damn thing just fell off. I took it to service and they were able to fix it in short period of time. Good luck.

Common problem in 01s. Mine fell off too. Dealer fixed it under warranty.

My drivers side one in the 02 was loose too. All they did was replace a broken clip.

There's a Service Bulletin for the back of the seat piece coming off because of a poorly designed screw tab. Take it to the dealer and explain that it came off by itself. On the TSB (sorry w/o search I can't find it) they show how the Service Rep has to screw a piece of wood behind the back seat flap then tap into the screw.

Yeah, I had that white plastic clip break on me too.
It's an easy fix.

I'm taking it in Wednesday - the service advisor already knew what I was talking about, so hopefully it will get fixed quick.
