I do have a freaking rattle on the passenger side and it seem to come from the rear by the seatbelt area. I have not figured it out yet because I dont drive my car that much. I will figure it out once I get closer to taking the car to the dealer for service and at that time I will have a list of things to correct

As funny as this may sound: I had a rattle from the passenger's side also. Could not find it for anything. It only happened when I did not have a passenger. I leaned the seat back just a little and it stopped. I think it was the leather squeaking. It always happened after the same person rode with me, damn girlfriends.

My passenger seat rattles over bumps. When I slide my right hand between the seat back and seat base, it goes away. It also goes away when someone is sitting in it.

yeah, chalk one more on that one
i only have the rattle without a passenger and over moderately bumpy roads (unfortunately ALL roads in houston are at least 'modereately' bumpy)

i think it is the leather on the seat rubbing together as someone mentioned above.

i stuck a towel in there the last time i was driving (last time...it's like a distant memory...2 freakin months ago...sigh).

that stopped it.

it seems like most of the rattles we have are squeaks from something.

someone mentioned it was the side airbag thing, or the glove box, but i haven't had those yet.

yo mr d
so are you saying that if you jam something between the seatback and the seatbottom it will sort of 'mold' the 2 pcs apart and stop squeaking??? where exactly did you stick the towel and is it still there??

(this should be a FAQ-hahaha)

i shoved it in right where the back meets the butt.

no, it's not there...but it's been 2 months since i've seen it so my memory is a little fuzzy.

no, i took everything out when i put my car away. it was something i tried just to see try to determine what the rattle was (my rubber mallet got worn trying to reproduce it, so i moved on to trial & error). but now i know where it is and i'm thinking of something to fix it permanently.

Yeh, that's what I said above. The next time you're driving, stick your right hand between the seat back and seat bottom and that rattle will go away. Also, sometimes it will go away just by reclining the seat back a bit.
