Park Avenue delivers
Park Avenue delivers
I took my car to Park ave Acura (140 miles from home). I have to say they were nothing short of excellent.
Dropped it off Wednesday and left with a rental car (Jeep Liberty from Enterprise). They would have given me a CL or TL on a first come first serve basis. I got there at 10:30 so they were gone.
Picked up the car the next Tuesday with resurfaced rotors and new pads, a new transmission, fixed moonroof, and a new type S emblem. All warranty items.
Also a set of Comptech headers ($1320), and fixed a ding ($100) in the door.
The car runs great and I'm glad I took it to them.
Vinnie was my service consultant and he said Jens installed the Headers.

Ohh, this is funny, I read the topic, and being a Buick guy, I was intrigued. I thought it was a reference to the Buick Park Ave., in its commercial it says something like Buick Park Avenue delivers. Sorry, I just thought it was amusing.
It is nice to see positive dealer positngs on the web.

Does Honda reimburse dealers for warranty repair at the same labor & part cost rate? I know it warries from dealer to dealer, but does dealership still make profit from warranty repairs?
I know you can not speak about your dealership in particular, but I would appricieate if you could tell us in general how does this work for most of dealerships ( any car brand ).
Russiandude,
Yes we are reimbursed for all warranty work at the labor rate that is posted .In our case i think we are at 90/hr so everybody pays that including the factory. The factory provides the dealer with a warranty flat rate manual that is used to determine how much a particular repair pays. For normal non warranty work most dealers including us i think use the Motor manuals or similar to determine what a job pays. This is pretty much standard throughout the industry.Dealers also frequently make use of surveys to assess what the competition is charging and that is also used to set the prices.Jens
