Park Ave Acura Position Regarding Xephyr Performance

As many of you know, we carry and install the Xephyr CAI. Unfortunately, and for whatever reason, this company is no longer in contact with us, or, it seems, anyone. I want to assure anyone who purchased one of these units from us, that we will continue to support them and the installation. As for the future, we are going to expand into other brands and products such as AEM. We still have a limited stock of Xephyr units and will continue to offer them as long as the stock lasts. We do believe in the product, its the company that seems to have a problem. Rest assured that Park Ave Acura will continue to bring you the best in performance parts and service!

Soopa- sorry to bring this up, but we had to let everone know they have not been abandoned by us and can feel safe in thier choice of CAI. Lock it down if you think its neccessary.

We appreciate the update Wayne. And I for one truly respect and envy the position your clientele are in.

But I have 3 questions.

Have you heard from Chris Koncur of Xephyr Performance in the last month or so?

Did he mention whether he has any intent on making good with those he has left hanging?

And does he owe Park Avenue Acura money as well?

The reason I ask the third question is because I will have a much harder time getting my refund if I have to fight over it with a well respected, large business.

well I was going to order one , I am glad I waited and I guess I will not be ordering one from him , since I think customer service is one of the most important parts of a company. Thanks for letting us know where you guys stand Wayne. Maybe AEM will do better. It is a shame because there are a lot of clients here on this board.

I just had a xephyr cold air installed @ Park Ave. and it was a perfect install! I was even able to get the ugly stickers off pretty easily and would gladly replace them with Park Ave. Stickers if I could. I feel you have no reason to explain yourself as you can not control your vendors and you gave a small guy a big shot which I as well as others respect very much. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the product just the customer service. He probably has some kind of addiction where he makes enough to support it and then disappears for a while. maybe the R & D is all he can focus on now or has some other problems we are not aware of. The shame of it is, is that he made a great product at a good price.

I must admit that I have to agree with what one of the guys on Tim's board said.

Many of you made your beds and now you have to lay in them! Why, for the sake of a few bucks, would you put on a home-made air intake built, tested, marketed, sold, serviced, shipped by a single guy? I mean come on, you paid 30K+ for your car and you are going to put on some make-shift intake? Hell, I was nervous enough putting on an AEM that has the backing of a large company with many reputable years of experience behind them. I really do feel for you all and hope you get your money back, but hopefully we will all be more careful next time a guy like Chris comes around selling stuff. It really is too bad that he couldn't make a go of it--not that I would have bought any of his products just to save a few bucks b/c I'm too paranoid about any potential problems in the future with such a large investment.

Yeah but a lot of people chose his product to help a fellow CL owner out. If Chris knew how to run a business I think he could of been successful. Unfortunately he did not do a good job, and thats why things happen the way they did.

Bad business or not....you guys cant deny that the product itself is bad. He did this for *us* because *WE* were whining and begging for the CAI. So he made one for us...but...he couldn't run the business...oh well.

I guess now that he's gone, it shouldn't cause too much of a stir to resurrect an old post of his that explains how:

If you ever come to Houston, I'll hook you up with one like mine for $100+Tax (no ... I'm not doing business and parts will be bought directly by you. I just show you where and help with the install if you need). I'm saying this cuz I saw your posts answering others' questions. I like that attitude. What do you say?

Peace.
