Painting your emblem

I'd like the emblem and the lettering on the back of my car to match the paint. What's the best way to do this? Do I remove them and take them someplace? Can they be painted while on the car? I want to leave them on the car but if they matched the paint i think they would look better.

I saw somebody who used touch up paint on them but they looked like crap up close.

Also... what does something like that cost?

Thank you.

They would need to be removed and personally, I would take them somewhere unless you know someone with the proper equipment to do it right.
