Start with the lowest grit you need to to remove needed imperfections.
I would take it to 220-320
clean wheel
wipe it down with tac cloth
use green painters tape to tape off unwanted painted areas
prime
paint
clear
And depends on how nice you want your wheels
wet sand 1000/1500/2000 + buff

not bad for winter wheels at a steal! I remember back in the day tons of kids had those style rims on their civics and stuff in highschool. that's not a knock, i just remember those rims used to be a big deal.

looking to paint my rims soon too, glad it came out well!

Yeah It would look sick with a drop maybe next year if I drop it now I dont think I will be going any where we get alot of snow up here in ottawa canada and I work nights so I come home when the roads arent plowed ( I got stuck 4 time last year) I think I will keep my stock suspension and swap it every winter.

just get coilovers so you can just adjust it instead of swaping the entire suspension out. it would so mcuh easier.

So Canada uses salt? That sucks! I'll be moving to Halifax Nova Scotia, or Montreal, or Onterio in two years. I'll be there for 5 years. So is there a speacial coating you can have put on your undercarage to protect from the salt or are you just SOL?

I think you did well on the rims, price and paint. Like you, I wonder how they will hold up!

Its not hard to take out the suspension, just time consuming and that way I can get eibach springs and new shocks because mine are fine right now and I dont want to buy new when mine are fine.I also dont like the way coil overs ride (and my wife would do nothing but bitch) although I like the way our cars look with them especialy yours.

Canada in general doesnt use salt, but Ottawa Ontario does and I undercoat my wifes 05 marnum RT with Krown rust proofing every year, I havent done it to mine because I got it 2 years ago and I dont see the point if its already started but they say it stops further rusting ???
