Painted Valve Cover

I know people have painted thier value cover but how much did they charge you or did you do it yourself?

It's not the valve cover, it's the intake manifold cover. I did mine with a high heat metallic fleck paint. Cost: About $15

did you put a clear coat on it or just the high temp paint. Also did you rough up the plastic before you started painting it

what color are you trying to get it? if it's just a plain color like silver or black, just use normal paint and clear coat. i have done it for mine and no problems

i plan on doing it silver to somewhat match my car. Also, what kind of paint did you use?

Mine was done by a body shop. I had them paint the engine pieces as well as my spoiler... all factory matched perfectly....

i meant to say the plastic engine cover but ch1276 did you have the actual valve cover chromed. Did you order a second from acura and had that one painted?

I ordered a separate one from acura and actually had it chromed

Ok I'll say it again. THAT IS AN INTAKE MANIFOLD COVER, NOT A VALVE COVER.
