I'm trying to determine why the rearview mirror on my gf's CL went bad (the liquid inside the glass). She had the light sensor on the mirror covered by the school parking tag. Could that be the cause? Anyone else hangs tags on the mirror? Please type:

0 - if you did NOT hang anything and it still went bad,
1 - if you did hung something and it went bad,
2 - if you did hung something and it did NOT went bad,
3 - if you don't remember.

0 - I think its because of the heat. Mine went bad when I left it out in the sun one day. It was about 100deg. out. Its under warranty though.

0 still have a dark spot in the middle of the mirror, don't have time to stop by at dealership

 

0- I didn't hang anything on the mirror but one day I took my car in for an oil change at my dealership and they put the service tag on there and the next morning all the dimming fluid leaked out and left me with a spotted up rearview mirror. Found a brand new one on ebay for $60 though which was a lot cheaper than from Acura.
