Oversteer?

I've had my CL-S for a while. And up until today the only thing I have experianceed is understeer. But I got a little over steer today on the way home. My car is stock, any idea how I did this? Thank god for VSA but I would like to know how to recreate it for some "fun" later on. Anyone else had this?

Interesting?
Were you hard on the brakes in the turn?

I was in a light turn and coming off light breaking due to my speed. I think my front wheels lost tractions as I truned them and recaught once they were turned yanking the car quickly sideways and breaking the rear loose. But I was going pretty fast so the speed probibly played a big part. How fast you ask. Well, I had just come off a red line in 3rd I was probibly ~95 mph when I took this and I tell you it was a slight turn more like a curve.

Dude, braking and taking a curve especially at high speed will definitely do it.

Yep, thats what I was thinking. Damn man, where the hell did you do this stunt.

BTW, sitting at a light at 12:30am on Thurs. night. This green Firebird coming from my left floors it to make a yellow light. Lets is ass slide out big time and rolls on down the road. Damn a miss a V8, but the cops sitting on the corner didn't.

I did this on a divided highway. There was no traffic on my side, so I popped over into SS and floored it. Redlined in 2nd up shifted went through third and redline started breaking ASAP after the redline. It kind of suprised me cause it was such a slight turn I guess I got some stuff to learn about driving at higher speeds. Anyways for those of you who wanted to know where I did this and are familar to Jacksonville It was coming off the Hart bridge and heading to downtown, the route goes right by the maxwell plant. Damn isn't there a Jax Cop on here. guess I'll have to find a new route home they'll probibly be waiting for me if he reads this.

DUDE, at the end of the Hart bridge is the police station isn't it? Been a few years since I lived in JAX. Not a good place for (sss) sequential sportshift stunts.

There are two ways to produce oversteer in a FWD car. Trail braking in a turn and accelerating hard into a turn and letting off the gas at the apex. They both shift the weight from the back to the front, allowing the back end to get loose.

This is EXACTLY how I wrecked my type-s @ 70 mph. I was lane changing and yanked the wheel to hard. Yep, the tail end broke loose when I completed the lane change. I was also on a curve of the highway.
