Overheating...Radiator problem maybe...?

As alot of you know i just installed some XS Power headers. i also had some magnaflows installed and i already had an intake. installing the headers i moved the right radiator fan. now it's not working and i know i connected cuz i just checked it and triple checked it and the connection is fine. the left fan is working fine and is actually working overtime even after i turn the car off. the temp gauge reached a little above 3/4 of the way. and like i said the right fan isnt working. normal? or should i be worried? anywho i'll post some pics later and perhaps a sound clip as well. thanks guys!

You need to get the fan fixed. Not good to run these motors hot.

If the fan runs after the car is off, you have a cooling problem. It should not do that. Check your coolant level & bleed any air out of the system. Once you get that straight then tackle the fan.
Fans just don't die when disconnecting them. Check your fuses, & check your connections again. Follow the cables back as far as you can & maybe something else is disconnected. Also swap the fan plugs & see if the fan start to work. If all that fails, get a test light($10 in any auto store) & check to see if there's power going to that fan. If there is then replace the fan.

Actually it's normal for the fan to come on after shut down, that's why they installed the fan switch.

When you shut down, the water stops circulating and there is no air moving through the radiator so the tempeture goes up. The fan then kicks on to bring it back down rather than letting it just sit and heat soak.

Could a bad water pump be the culprit?

Not according to everything I've read. It has never came on without the engine running in all my driving & 3 CL's.

Yes you should be worried - they installed two fans in there for a reason. Your motor will pull timing when it gets hot. Any gains from the headers will be negated with the motor running hot. Get the motor hot enough and you'll pop a head gasket or worse.

?? what hell are you talking about? i said that becuase i drove it again and the fans were running fine so i thought hey maybe i was wrong. but i guess from what these guys are saying even once is enough to warrant some worrying. chill out dude...not trying to start any cyber-rivalry or anything. just asking questions...
