Oven or Blow dryer??

Hey guys, uve all probably heard so many questions about this topic. I read a bunch of posts on the clear head light housing but some say to heat the headlight up in an oven...others say to melt the bond with a blow dryer? Wat should i do? Also can i use the same bond and just heat it together when i'm done? Lastly lol how long after it's allllll done can I drive the car?
Thanks a lot

It's up to you. I used a blow dryer and it worked fine for me. My oven sucked, so the hair dryer was better for me anyway. Also in the oven you run more of a risk of melting the housing (it's happened to a few peeps on here). I'd say, if it gets hot enough, go with the hair dryer, that way you have more control over what happens.

Some of the stuff that's being used to hold it together now will need to be cleaned off before you put it back together, but you'll want to reuse some of the stuff, so don't clean it all off (that would be a PITA anyway). In addition, you'll need some of your own silicone to completely re-seal the housing. I used Silicone II by GE - got it a Target - and I don't have any leaks.

Lastly, you just need to wait long enough for the Silicone to cure before you drive it. I just waited that long before I put the lights back on, so you should be able to drive it by the time everything is all done and cleaned up, unless you're amazingly fast.

I used the oven - I think it heats more evenly and also heats all of the silicone at the same time. Keep the blow dryer on the side to keep it softened while you work.
