Our cars rock!
Our cars rock!
At the track today, the 10yr old (or younger) that hands out your timeslip on the return lane said "that's a nice Porsche you got there sir." I grabbed my eyeballs, put them back in their sockets while laughing, and said "thanks bro, but it's not a Porsche." I couldn't think of anything else to say on the spot, and figured the kid would look at me drive away and notice the A C U R A on the trunk.
Also at the track today, I was going to stage for my 3rd or 4th run, when one of their cameramen comes up to me and says "So your car will be on our website. You have a very beautiful cur." I just said cool, and thanks, appreciating the fact that my car's cool lookin' and rare enough that the local dragstrip wants it on their website even if it only runs 14.8's.
Afterwards, I was thinking that I shouldn't let them post it, and ask for $$$... but I know they'd never pay me, and I don't really mind after all seeing my ride on their site. Having seen the site, there's random pictures of cars here and there, and I don't feel like they should pay me to put mine there. If for some reason however my car ends up "under the spotlight" or in other words, if the picture(s) is(are) posted in a way that will obviosously contribute to their sales, I will perhaps re-evaluate my decision of letting them post the pics for free. Time will tell, I'll show you guys their site once I see my car on there!
Just thought I would share!
