Is this the original Timing Belt?

155K on my 2001 Acura CL. Had two owners before me, and I called the acura dealership it was serviced at and talked to the second owner and nobody has any records of Timing belt. Original owner had it till 96K.

I pulled the upper timing cover off to inspect the belt and found that it looked like a factory belt. Super clean, no cracks etc. It's a made by Gates, Honda Belt. Whats weird is that it is pink/reddish. I've seen plenty of these same belts with blue writing (older hondas) and white writing (newer) But never pink/red.

With 155K I want to do the belt, the prior owners were probably gentle on the car, but I'm not. Then again if I can verify if its already been changed it would be nice to not deal with it. I know it would probably be hard to know if its origy or not, but I'm wondering how many other people pulled off the verified original belt and it was red like this one.

Take an afternoon and change the belt. That belt looks to be in good condition, but better safe than sorry.

It's most likely the OEM belt if it was serviced at the dealership, and there are no records of a 105k service.

Pink means your car was born a woman.

It may have been changed but useless you have the records you'll never really know.

easy enough, five 10mm bolts. Some of em are kinda annoying to get too tho, helps to have a ratchet wrench, and quarter drive socket wrench with a deep 10mm socket.
