Ordered New Transmission at 11700ish miles

I noticed my CL was starting to feel a bit jerky between gears. Next thing I noticed was that between 2nd & 3rd gear (engine still cold), it felt like the drivetrain wasn't catching and I was hitting the gas but she wasn't going anywhere. I watch my RPM increase, but my speed wasn't increasing.

At high RPM gear changes (5500-7000), it was REALLY rough. The whole freakin car was shaking.

I took it in to David McDavid Acura today, told the Service Foreman the symptoms, & we were off for a test drive. Oddly enough she wouldn't do the crazy things she had been doing and decided to act like nothing was wrong. The foreman was like

"screw it, I'll order you a new transmission anyway, we've had problems with the CL transmissions and we'll report it yada yada yada..."

They have 3 on backorder right now, and I was told it would take anywhere from 1-2 months to get a new transmission.

Well, I guess this means I have about 6 weeks to blow up whats left on my current transmission and wait for a new one.

Only thing that pisses me off is that I KNOW they're gonna screw up some stuff when they put in the new one. They're never the same once you have major work done on them.

Ohhh whoah is me

That sucks man...sorry to hear that

Sounds like DMD is taking care of you though, and that is good. I have been working on them in increasing their customer service skills.

BTW - where have you been, haven't seen you on the board since that last meet when you showed up!!

I've made a few posts here and there. I've mainly been a troll. Speaking of meets, when was the last one for the North Dallas Area? Have there been any since the one I attended?

We should hook up so I can bitch about my transmission.

We haven't seen this problem in standard 225bhp variants of the TL/CL, as far as I know. It may have to due with the transmission not being durable enough for 260bhp.
