Opinions Please...

I think its time to sell my car and get something a little more practical cost-wise. I'd love to sell it for 24-25k, givin mods and all does anyone think this is reasonable?

'03 6spd w/ Navi & Conversion
Ground Control Coilovers & SPC Extreme Camber Kit
Cleared Headlights, 20% Tint all around 50% on the windshield
AEM CAI, Custom painted Engine Cover & CAI
Acura Care Extended Warranty 7yr/100k $0 Deductible
54,000 miles 70/30 Hwy/City Driving
Driven but not beaten-on, Washed and waxed weekly

Whatcha all think?

Wow, nice loaded one. I think with the mileage the price may be a little high. I think it's worth it but average buyers may not. It's hard to say, it's a rare car but the niche is small. Ask that amount and just go down if you need to.
I paid less for mine 6 months ago with 7500 miles, (no ext warranty or mods) but I'm a very good shopper
good luck, sorry you have to give it up. You might try autotrader too.

as a 6 speed owner, i like, but you don't wanna see book values, because you would cry... mileage for an 03 is a little high too

i was thinking about selling mine before, but it looks like i am gonna have to drive this one till the wheels fall off to not come out negative...

and you would have to part it out.... no other chance of trying to make a reasonable amount of $ off it

Why did you think about selling yours too? I think it's a great car. The only thing I like better is the Bmw 330 coupe but it is overpriced, less features, and not as reliable but a beautiful car.

well i got the s2k and the handling just blew me away, really made me check out some rwd cars...

got to take out a 350Z, and really liked the handling, but i still like the way the cl accelerates and the interior much much better... the 350 was too rough... in ride and not as refined imo...

i don't regret the buy, but i have never had a honda automatic, i am on my 4th honda/acura manual transmission, so i am not scared of having problems

just ended up being happy with it... plus i have space problems being a large person:

no head room in the g coupe, and i hated the inside, my right knee didn't fit right, the left foot holder wasn't big enough for me, just didn't fit me, i love the exterior, but not the interior, so between those options there is nothing else i want until

You might have a hard time finding the person who will appreciate and pay for it.

I will reconsider and try to keep it. Such a great car.

Well thanks for the responses so far, I actually went on AutoTrader.com and found that plenty are selling there '01's privately for around 20k so I'll keep my fingers crossed. I would really love to keep it but I have more important things to do right now and I work in NYC so I take the train everyday and my car just sits in the driveway during the week. The $600/mo payments along with the $600/mo insurance payments just arent worth it anymore.

So anyone local looking for a 6-spd, or knows anyone thats looking, Im open to offers

Yowza, don't blame you for selling. $1200 would pay for over 3 months of my cost but
I only had to finance less than half the price. insurance is < $100 a month.
I have been pulled over 3x, and 2 tickets

Well me not driving it during the week has only been for the last 8 months or so, but Ive taken a lot of road trips, Massachuttes, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania all on more than one occasion. Thats where the majority of the miles came from, also of course when I first got the car I was driving EVERYWHERE...

I think I'll be happy with 23,500 cash, but I cant go any lower than that really

holy crap, 600 a month for insurance????? no wonder you can't afford the car, you just can't afford to drive...

blue book on an 03 6spd with 54000 miles is below $20k, and having watched the negotiated prices around here on the 03's i think i would be lucky to get 23,500 with only 18k miles on mine...

whoever is paying 20k for an 01 cl is smoking some serious crack, and can pass it along to me when they are through...

Would you consider trading for a CL-P plus cash? My car has low miles, extended warrenty, tints, drop, no accidents, and been well taken care of.

Too expensive. Your car is probably worth about $23,000 max.

Tke the insurance off it and store it. With the $$ saved get a beater to drive in the meantime and pull the CL-S outta storage when the insurance is cheaper. Thats what I would do. Storage insurance is only like $10/month for my mustang, so it cant be that much. Plus, its still covered if it gets stolen/damaged, as long as its not being driven.

Ya know that was the only other alternative I could come up with too. I have to look into that further.

It really depends on the finance company. A co-worker of mine was told by her finance company that she didn't have to carry insurance on the car she was buying. I believe it was Chase Manhattan that told her this.

My insurance is 445 a month, so after that and car payment I am up to about 1160 a month, I know the pain of high insurance...

Kiss's car is really sweet for you guys looking for a 6 speed with navi.

And GOD DAMN some of you guys pay a lot for insurance. I would never be able to afford $1200 a month for a car. I like my car, but not that much. I have to support my local bar tender and drinking habit.

Well the good news is I think I may have figured out a way to do everything and still keep the car

Ill keep ya'll posted, I really appreciate the feedback. But, of course I will entertain the idea of selling still if the right offer presents itself...

Just have the g/f put on a skimpy dress and stand right next to the car while you take photos for the auto-trader...

it will sell... mine did (in 3 months).
