Why not buy the warranty now? It get's more expensive the closer you get to the original warranty expiration.

A friend of mine just bought a 93 Cobra.

He found it in Ohio- it's black and only has 1,100 original miles.

It's sooooooo mint.

I've always liked those cars......

This is TRUE.
From what I’ve seen, the price goes up every 12,000-miles and every 12-months from the original purchase date.
The first jump after new is at the 24-month/24,000 point so I’m gonna buy mine before March of next year.

I got this info here: http://hondaacurawarrantiesatspringfieldmotorcars.com/

Why do you guys think there is a need to buy the extended warranty? Now that we have the 7yr 100k protection on the tranny... is there a need? I have 90 accord with 160k miles on it now and never had a serious problem (knock on wood). I have 23k on my 2001 CLS now and was not planning on getting an extended warranty. Should I ? ? ?

How exactly do you make these payments with no job?

No FULL-TIME JOB!!!! I work for my dad once or twice a week at $16 per hour, so thats over $200 per week...the payment is only $262.21. I also worked for my dad full-time for the last five summers, so I kinda stock-piled the money. I made anywhere from $7k-10K each summer, so I barley had to work during the school year! I've still got $3,500 in my savings and about $1200 in the checking, so I'll be OK for awhile.

I owe just over $6,000...and then, I get to buy it at the end of the lease. I'll be paying for this car for 8 years...F*ck me!!

I bought the warranty through Acura for $1,230.00, at around 48,000 miles. You can call your dealer and ask to speak to the business manager, I believe.

Cobras look really nice... They always park one at the edge of the parking lot at work (I come late, so I gotta walk like a 1/4 mile to get to the door of my building... SWEET CARS!!), and I always see this one... I'm working on getting on the drive list, so maybe I can take one out... I doubt they'd let me near a cobra, but I'd settle for an F150 lightning too

Good luck with your debt repayment, etc...
