Im more concerned about actual driving gameplay over menus and putting bling on my car so to me gt5 is>forza 3. You cant base graphic quality on the cl. They obviously aren't gonna waste their time detailing a car most ppl dont care about when there are 1000 other cars to model. As far as the models they spent more time on they are far better visually than forza 3.

Yea, but in reality the number of cars they actually spent time on modelling was only 20% of all the cars in the game. That in itself is disappointing. The graphics do look great on those cars, but the damn shadows and smoke look like crap.

I havent played GT5 in over a week because it bores me. FM3 on the other hand doesnt. Another thing I noticed is you dont need a steering wheel to have fun with Forza. You need one for GT5.

That's the only flaw they had for the CL in that game, and it pissed me off

I am pretty far in the game, and have some sick cars. Today I was playing, bought a car modded it (which took all of my money) and did my standard check of the used lot. Sure enough there was a 2003 CL-S in there but I was out of money!!! I did some races to come up with enough and it was gone!!! Oh well it wasnt NBP anyway.

I have not even looked for a CTS-V yet! That sucks! I just finished COD BO, so now I can devote more time to GT5.

my brother has been playing the game and he finally got the 01 CLS. Ofcourse they werent gonna waste their time on making the car perfect. But it still looks pretty good.

oh and got a question for you guys. will buying a steering wheel for ps3 help out with better handling of the car? like, will steering the car be more smoother?

 

Forgot to memtion it was a GT. They have the SRT-4 engine from the Neon SRT4. His tail pipe was not stock, so maybe he had exhaust and maybe other mods IDK?

Don't put words in my mouth. I never implied it was that fast, and I even said I did not think its as fast as dynolicius said.

Either way, the way that pt gt pulled on me I'm sure he would have beat the cls also.

IMO the only way to play GT5 is with a steering wheel. Its much more enjoyable that way.

 

I disagree I have been doing just fine without a steering wheel. Only up to level 19 though, but my B-Spec driver is level 14. The Mrs. likes to tell him how to race!

I like an above poster found the CL-S on the used market and it was ABP! I was stoked! Have not really raced it competitively yet as all the races I could use it for I had already had the gold trophy. I did mod it out completely and am waiting to buy one brand new. Also, make sure you change the oil right away from the used dealership you gain HP and the oil is dirty brown. Digging the game totally! Been switching between it and COD BO so I do not get burnt out on it.

Whenever I wanted a certain car from the used lot in GT4, I would just keep buying new wheels (it would change the days), until I found a used car lot that had the car I was looking for. Maybe the same thing will work for GT5

 

Just got the game for christmas. No luck finding a CL yet

instead bought an 97 ek ctr civic....hopefully the car will show up when I have the funds available!!!

Its still a fun game, looking forward to purchasing the 03 CL

GT5 is horrible IMHO

I hsve been playing the new need for speed and it's way way way better.

its faster, u can be a cop or a racer, and it's way more challenging.

i bought gt5 and sold it within 24hrs for 10$ less...

that game was a big disappointment.

 

Apples to oranges. One is an arcade racer, the other is a simulator.

 

Need for speed is a good game if you dont ever want to use the brakes. Cant really compare it to this game totally different market.

 

Oh yea, I wasnt saying it wasnt good. I think its a really fun game. NFS:Shift 2 is coming out soon too.

I love some NFS: Hot Pursuit, but I agree that you can't compare it to GT5. Two totally different style of games

I'll be all over that NFS Shift 2 whenever it gets released

 

I went to Best Buy tonight to buy the Logitec steering wheel that was on sale for $99. From $150. They were out of stock! They could not tell me when they would get them back in. Oh well! I'll find one somewhere!

 

I can't justify buying a steering wheel for GT5. Anything decent thats cheaper than 50 out there?
