I was going to work yesterday morning...a little ahead of schedule so decided to cruise the slower lanes driving at a sane speed. Out of no-where I hear that unmistakable rumble of an exhaust...a white Civic on my bumper. It was a later model, possibly a 95 or so...2 dr coupe si. No neon, stock looking wheels, no big advertising stickers...just tints and 2 little comptech and neuspeed stickers where our cl-s badges are on our vehicles.

He pulls along side me for a second...then punches it, and so do I.

I'm in 3rd nearing redline when I realize that I"m not catching up to this dood(he's 5 cars ahead and pulling slowly). After a few hundred yards of this some slower traffic appeared and we both chose caution over speed(way too early in the a.m. for lunacy...that comes later in the day for me ). We both work our way thru the slower cattle with caution as only we higher-horsepowered-junkies can do :P , we meet up side by side as a traffic-light catches us perfectly...both rolling in first as it goes green with clear sailing ahead. We do a bit of the side-steppin' then both bite at nearly the same instance. Again...he starts pulling away!!!! I"m like fackin' shit main!!!

As I pulled off of route 5 south I gave him a quick flash of my headlights and pulled along side of him...he put his limo tints down to reveal a big-ass . All I could do was smile sheepishly shaking my head in disbelief and give him a .

Any guesses what he had in that hood? I don't think nos because he didn't jump away at all..just a gradual tug...I'm thinking turbo or bored out frankenstien kinda shit???

B18C (GS-R 1800cc motor) with I/H/E is in the low 13.8 to 14.2 range easily... maybe more mods like cams etc...

OR... the 1.6liter turbo or NOS

 

I have a 94 accord ex 5 spd with 2.0 vtec...what's it'd mod potential? could it get like that civic??

Put the H22A VTEC (Prelude VTEC) motor and do some work... it will still be hard to get the hybrid civics because they are lighter!

 

If it was an older civic like a 94-95 than it wasn't a si because it only came in a hatch. And if that’s the case than it would had to have a swap of some sort because all the other trims for that year (EX, CX, DX, VX) are slooooooooow maybe that's because they only have like 92hp ... Are you sure it wasn't a 99-00 Civic SI? Cause those did come in Coupes and those can be Hella Fast when you give it some of that Turbo goodness
