Oil Spraying

I did a search but I couldn't find any info regarding oilspraying. Is it necessary to do every year? Living close to Toronto. Is there a better time to do it during the year? Ie could I do it in spring before my first major detailing session, will it last a year? Last year I did it in winter and the oilspray overspray took off most of my zaino!

I think it's coating the under carriage with oil to protect it.

I don't think it's necessary.

Yup, you spray all the underbody and in the fenders etc with oil to prevent it from rusting due to all the salt on the roads to melt the ice and snow... I doubt that's a problem down there in Florida!

I think the under body of the CL is already coated with rust proofing. I think what you can do is lube up the suspension joints.

I can see doing that to make the underside clean off better. 4x4 people do that to clean off mud & gunk easier after an off road trip, but oil is not for rust proofing.

I live in Toronto and recently done it. The city can get pretty retarded when it comes to salting the roads over here. From what I understand undercoating is done every 3 years or so. Thats what I plan on doing personally.
