Oil Plug Bolt Size

Does anyone know the size and strength rating of the oil plug bolt in the CL?

Mine is starting to strip, and I get the feeling that the next time an air tool gets near it, its gonna go. Cant seem to find anything in the manual or on the board.

Thanks

M14-1.50 thread size (17mm head size)

I'd just goto the Acura/Honda dealership and ask. They'll know. Not gonna save much by going to an auto parts store.

My last oil change I noticed the same thing. Who ever had the car before must have taken it to a Jiffy Lube or something.

I went to a reputable Acura Honda Mech and they tapped it out and used a 14.5 MM bolt. Sealed up my leak. I am about ready for another oil change so we'll see how snug it is.

Just call some reputable shops and see wich one seems to know the most about it. It only cost me $45.00.

If the bolt is stripping than I bet you a paycheck that the soft aluminium in that oil pan is too.

Unfortunate that stating the obvious needed to be stated...

I dont use air tools. Unfortunately, well-meaning family members sometimes take my car to have its oil changed, and they aren't as informed about what air tools eventually do to car parts.
