Oil change for my Acura at a Honda dealer?

All of the local Acura dealers in my area are booked for 2 weeks for a freakin oil change. I needed to get it done by Tuesday next week and decided to make an appointment at the local Honda dealer. It's for my wifes 2003 MDX. Did I do the right thing? I figured the Pilot and MDX use the same filters etc. . . Right?

You should have no problems.

I continue to take my acura to my old honda dealer because my service guy is the shit!!! I spent a lot of money on my old accord there so whenever I bring my car to get worked on they hook it up cheap!!

IMHO its better than taking your nice MDX to some place like quick lube where they pay their dudes $7 an hour to fuck up your ride and treat it like shit. If your lucky they will put oil back in before they start it!

Exactly! I went to one of those quick lube places with my former '01 CLS and after I pulled up the guy was like: "Cool we've never worked on one of them before." Needless to say I didn't stay. . .

Changing oil is not rocket science, anybody can do it. We even have some people (like me) who do it ourselves.

I take my TL-s to honda for oil change everytime...honda only has three different types of oil filters... one for most of honda and acura, second one for hybrid civic and last one for old old old hondas

so you can't go wrong

oh reason why I take it to honda is because two of my friends are mechanics at honda... reliable
