i went to the dealer to change mine early and the service advisor recommended just waiting till the recommended interval, or 3750 miles. So that's what i did.
I usually take mine to the dealer cause they check all the fluids for me and wash it, and with all the coupons I get from them, it's only $22.

What are you guys talking about, I only have to change mine every 7500 miles! It's in the manual.

They're talking about the very first oil change I think:

With the amsoil I'm using now, I'll do it every 10,000. But with dealer oil, I'd do 3750, just for peace of mind.

3,750 for the first one and 7,500 intervals after that for me.
Actually I had mine changed for the second time at around 8,000 so I could get back on schedule for the services at 15K, 22.5K 30K and so on.

Read the manual. It states that the original oil should not be changed until 7500 miles. It's a special break in oil that you cannot get over the counter. Unless you have severe driving conditions, I'de keep the oil in for the first 7500 and then follow a 3750 mile interval if using regular oil. I'm not familiar enough with synthetic but I've heard up to 10000 miles between changes.

no need to change at anything other than 7.5k intervals. but then again, I've owned my <6 months, and it goes in for it's 15k svc tomorrow, so my 7500 miles is like 3750 to some.

it says to change it at 3750 under severe driving conditions. I don't think there is an exact definition of that phrase, so since I did a lot of city driving, and it's hot as hell during a TX summer, I changed mine every 3750. And that milage probably took 4-5 months to get to.

Is it bad to change the oil too many times? I have close to 7K miles and 3 changes already. I've driven from NY to Boston and Back a few times, and the Engine really takes a beating.

No problem with frequent oil changes other than cost. The only thing I'm concerned with is that first oil change too soon seeing there's something special about that Honda/Acura breakin oil.

If someone aggressively broke-in the car (not to be confused with abuse) after the factory break-in period, they could easily do an early change depending on revs and driving style (my opinion).

Some of these cars are driven by folks that are going to loaf on the freeway at 2200 RPM for the entire 3750 miles and that's not a "robust" break-in (no speed changes, minimal load changes, etc, etc). IMO, it really depends on who's doing the break-in and how it’s done (break-in at 1000 miles and up).

I'd hate to see a low-mileage vehicle sitting for a year before it had the lube changed with 3000 miles on it -- and the car was being bounced off the rev-limiter the whole time

I believe Acura changed the recommendation to removing the break-in at the first scheduled oil-change (duration and mileage).

You are correct, sir. In the 2003 manual, the first scheduled oil chage is at 3750 miles for severe service. Both oil and filter are to be changed. The first oil/filter change as scheduled by time is at 6 months.

For normal service, the first oil change is at 7500 miles and the first filter change is at 15000 miles or 1 year!

Unless you drive only on traffic-free interstates I think it is tough to justify the cost vs. benefit of following the normal schedule. Biyearly (at the minimum) oil changes are a pretty cheap way of maintaining your car even if you don't do it yourself. I'd also just go ahead and change the filter at every oil change. I know that some on these boards have suggested filter changes to be equally or even more important then the acutal oil changes.

Per Acura, the severe schedule is defined as:
Use this schedule if the vehicle is driven mainly in any of these severe conditions:
