Official new CLK pics.......
Looking good. I'd still like to see a shot of the back. Hope they didn't butcher it to much.
Is it safe to say that the CLK will get the 5.0 engine as its middle engine, replacing the 430??

The ass looks a little C70ish. But I like it just the same. They are really doing some sweet stuff with designer's clay over there.
I hate when new models are UGLIER than the old models!.
if i were in the market for one of these cars..i would stick with the current model..much nicer looking in my opinione..
And yes...the New E class is SWEET!

Give it a chance, I don't think the above rims do anything for this car....wait until you at least see it with an AMG sport package- that has the potential to looking very hot.
Yes, the new E is awesome.

So that's what this car is... I was over in Germany on vacation last week and took this shot while walking through the Mercedes parking lot to their museum. I was surprised this car was out in the open but it looks like they really don't need to hide it any longer.

To be honest, I was expecting a little more aggressive look from Merc on the CL. Too close to the previous model this car looks like. Merc is always staying on the conservative side but hey, I dont think I represent their target market so it does not matter what I think on this one.
Nasty rims, nice front. Its a little to long in the back though and makes the profile look like the current CL. As somebody said before the rear does resemble the C70. The E and SL look better IMO.
The2nd pic of the the car def. makes it look c70 ish. I'll prob get flamed for this but the in the 2nd photo, the side profile is reminiscent of the current acura cl's--maybe its the tailights and the way the window is tapered

The CLK500 will have plenty of room for its size, the CL500 interior is actually kind of small for the car's dimensions.
Add to the fact that 99% of the population has no idea of what they are looking at, makes me choose the new CLK.
I still think the looks are in the CL's favor....but I'll get over it after saving $40k.
Read a car magazine the other day and thery compared our CLs with other vehicles(MB and BMW) and our CLS were priced @ 43K if it would have had the "name brand" BMW or MB on it.
My girlfriend has a 2001 330....... I like my CL-S better.

CLK Sport package....
2 V8's offered........
The CLK-Class range is headed by two V8 models whose performance figures match those of typical sports cars: the CLK 500 (225 kW/306 hp) and the CLK 55 AMG, whose further enhanced power unit now develops an impressive maximum output of 270 kW/367 hp. With these powerful engines the new CLK-Class Coupé accelerates to 100 km/h from rest in only 6.0 (CLK 500) or 5.2 (the CLK 55 AMG) seconds

Wow, that car makes the rims look very small. The front is good looking, but the rear reminds me of the new camry. That thing better have the Merc Lowering suspension, cuz that wheel gap is disgusting. Why do most cars (Focus, CL) now adays need 19 inch rims just to look decent and shapely.
The interior is nice as hell, and im sure it wil sell.
