Offered 7k at trade-in. CMON!

curry acura only offered 7k for it on trade in. 01 non-nav ~80k miles. doesnt that seem cheap or am i crazy?

BTW the 1st tranny died at 46k, and then i went through another 3 trannies back to back that lasted less than 1 mile each. (Curry Acura kept fucking up the installation. one time i didnt even make even make it off the lot before the tranny died)

anyways, it was a 7k trade towards a $25k ML that just came off an ended lease.

BTW, its a CL-P.

i guess if u guys are offered 10k for your cars, then a NON-nav, NON- type S for 7k may seem reasonable, idk. if i was to privately sell the car for 7k, the buyer would think he got a steal.

CL-P with 80K in "good" condition is worth at least $8,800 at trade in

no. awesome shape, no dings or dents. interior is perfect, no major cracks. and its silver, the most desired color. the only thing is some ghetto touch up work on the rear bumper. but almost every trade in curry gets they respray it and get a dent wizard. (i used to work there)

I figured it won't be beat to hell, but that was the only thing I could think off. Sell it privately.

Sounds about right for a dealership. They dont want a car that they cant make at least $7k on, period. Keep that in mind when looking at a used car on a dealer lot.

yea thats true. its not like a used car lot that makes only a couple grand per vehicle.
either way, you would think after i worked there AND they fucked up our tranny 3 times, i would get a better deal

That's about right. Knock $1K off KKB's price, & that is what a dealer will give you now days. If they were to sell that car, they would ask $10K. Dealers aren't hurting for used cars the market is so flooded with them. Resale is crap any where you go.

BTW the ML doesnt impress me. The interior is made of cheap plastic. For a Benz, its not that great. although the new pics of the 2005/6? look great.

CURRY ACURA sucksssssssssss........I tried getting a deal on a car there and the sales dept sucks ass!!! They are overprice, not reasonable, etc...

Try Acura of Westchester, my family bought 3 cars from there and ask for Chris or Kenny the managers.

Cool

i would definitely sell privately...i have a black cl with about 80k (original tranny thank you) in great condition but i blue booked it at like 16000 easy. you should tell that dealer to go to hell and take your time and find a buyer that will pay a respectable price

I have been told they always lowball trade-ins. I brought my car to Geis Automall (Peekskill/Cortlandt area) about 2 months ago and they offered me just under $15,000 for my 01 - CLs w/ 54,000 miles no Navi.

Trade in doesn't mean shit, what's important is the difference you have to pay.

If they cut the price on the new car real low then the trade goes down. They could go up a couple of grand on the trade if they also raise the price.

I was offered $13.5k from the dealer on my 2001 CL-S non navi w/53,000 miles last week when I bought a 2005 TSX. I decided to keep the CL-S and try to sell I myself for more.

I should FRAME and MOUNT a copy of my trade paperwork.
I got 24,000 dollars for my 2-Year old 2001 slushbox CL-S when I bought the 2003 6-Speed.
And the State tax savings were good for another 1500.

That was right before the Tranny issue came to light and trade values plummeted.

Ouch that hurts.

I'd try and go with a private party sale before you go and trade it in. At least test the waters a bit.
